South African artist Neli Brits invites you to share her fascination with light, colour and sound which she attempts to capture in all her paintings.  Her works, inspired by a constant awe for the beauty, wonder and meaning of creation, are in a classic style.

Throughout her life she has studied and learned from the old masters which she also shared with many a student. She works in various mediums but has a preference for watercolour, oil, pastel and pencil.

The highlight of her life’s work is a symbolic series titled Women of King Solomon’s Songs created in the spirit of Michelangelo’s words:  “O Lord, around me let Thy pitying arms be thrown”. Three women in the series can be viewed on her gallery.
